Job Overview:
Gameto is seeking an experienced, resourceful, and creative Head of Commercial Operations to lead the launch of its in vitro maturation (IVM) product Fertilo. Gameto’s lead product, Fertilo, is aimed at improving IVF & egg freezing processes by using iPSC-derived ovarian support cells (OSCs) to mature immature eggs outside the body, making the process shorter, safer, and more accessible. Fertilo is currently being used clinically & commercially ex-US and is preparing for a Phase III Randomized Control Trial in the United States.
A successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing commercial launches and building global operational strategies. The Head of Commercial Operations works capital-efficiently and innovatively to drive sales and pursue partnerships. You will work closely with the CEO, CSO, and Chief of Staff/Business Development to generate and test strategies for US commercialization, as well as build the company’s commercial operations and salesforce to support a successful global launch. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication and presentation skills, and is dedicated to the advancement of novel approaches to IVF.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the CEO, CSO, and Chief of Staff/Business Strategy to develop Fertilo commercial operations and build the operational strategy for Fertilo’s global launches.
- Develop Fertilo’s commercial package and operations to drive sales and adoption
- Test innovative initiatives, marketing strategies, and pricing and fine-tune these with evolving clinical data.
- Leverage existing medical teams to develop a clinic onboarding strategy, ensuring feasible and cost-effective education, training, and customer support are provided to clinic centers using Fertilo commercially.
- Oversee global commercial logistics and operations, ensuring seamless growth as the company scales sales.
- Grow Fertilo sales while collaborating with the CSO to ensure quality is maintained and real-world data is collected.
- Travel to relevant global markets to form relationships with clinics, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Build out Gameto’s sales and operations teams.
- Collaborate with corporate teams to refine Fertilo’s pricing strategy and ensure insurance coverage for the product.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the company and Fertilo, assisting with marketing and messaging and collaborating with our PR firm, Corporate Communications team, and Strategic/Creative advisors.
- Ensure that all activities adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements. Stay informed about and comply with relevant laws and regulations governing fertility treatments.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical executives, and staff, as well as sales representatives, customer support teams, and commercial teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience of sales and operations in the fertility industry, having participated in successful product launches.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to develop strategy and execute on it with limited resources in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Digitally savvy, including knowledge of online testing, influencer marketing, and brand ambassadors.
- Willingness and ability to frequently travel globally to attend conferences and visit prospective and existing customers.
- Proactive, energetic, flexible, responsive, and efficient.
- Great people skills, ability to sell and promote the company and the product.
- Scientific background is not required, but must understand and communicate about the fertility industry, particularly laboratory operations, testing, and clinical science.
- Ability to receive feedback well and adapt to a rapidly changing environment based on shifts in the industry, company priorities, and macro environment.
- Able to work remotely and independently.
- Motivated by milestone-based payments.
